Essentials of Bharathanatyam
The Essentials of Bharathanatyam is a course specifically structured for new-comers/early learners to enable them in evincing interest towards the art form. The idea is to give an overview of movements initiating from the fundamentals to essentials concentrating in several aspects of training.
(Course access is given to all registered learners for 6 months. )

Group Classes for Beginners
Adult Learners – Batch Name : Nritya Praveshika “Pravina” (Age 19 & above). (No upper age limit as long as the student can commit to regular rigorous training and show progress as per instructions)
Early Learners – Batch Name : Nritya Praveshika “Bala” (Age 8 – 18)(Batch has not been announced yet, await our updates)

Do I need prior dance experience to join?
No prior experience is required to start learning in our beginner level. Our classes are structured to accommodate learners at all levels, as long as there is willingness to learn and basic understanding of dance is familiar for the student
What is the minimum age to join the classes?
Our classes are currently suitable for students for adults aged 18 years and above. However, students above 14 years of age may also apply if they are keen.
Our younger students (8 years to 18 years) batch will start soon. Keep following our updates for the commencement of the batch.
Can I join a class even if it has already started?
Yes, our methodology allows new students to join year-round. With access to comprehensive learning materials, recap lessons, and personalized guidance from our Guru, you can catch up at your own pace.
What is the schedule for classes?
Classes for the Nritya Praveshika – Pravina Batch are held every Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM IST. Students from all timezones are welcome to join.
Is there a fixed course duration?
These classes are a journey of continuous learning. While foundational training typically spans a few years, we classify the levels are Nritya Praveshika, Nritya Unnatih and Nritya Paripurnata. Nritya Praveshika is a 1 year course and upon completion, students are eligible to take up an evaluation to proceed to the next level.
Are the classes conducted online or in person?
Please refer to the specific batch details for mode of instruction. Currently, our sessions are primarily online. Please visit “Our Studio” section to apply for our Offline Sessions in Bangalore.
Will I need any special equipment or materials?
Other than your dance attire(Kurta and Leggings/Tees and Tights, please do not wear loose bottoms where the knee alignment cannot be checked), you may need a notebook for theory lessons , a yoga mat for our Vyayam exercises and a water bottle to have handy.
How do I enroll in a class?
You can enroll by filling out our enrollment form.Your enrollment is only complete when you pay the enrollment fee and the monthly fee. For payment links, kindly refer our enrolment form.
If you’ve already submitted your form/application, we will respond to you.
How will my progress be evaluated?
Your progress is monitored through regular assessments, feedback from the Guru, and opportunities to perform during class or at events.
What if I want to join a batch later?
You can join our mailing list here to receive updates about future batches and programs.
Are there any performance opportunities?
Yes, students are given opportunities to participate in events, showcases, or Arangetrams (debut performances) as they progress in their training.
Can I take private lessons for additional support?
Private lessons may be available only for students who are part of the intensives. Please contact us for more details about scheduling and availability.
Is Bharatanatyam physically demanding?
Yes, Bharatanatyam requires strength, stamina, and flexibility. Regular practice will gradually improve your physical fitness and endurance.

Note:
Level Category Evaluation:
Evaluations will be internal from the institution only and student will be graded based on their understanding of concepts and presentation. Students wanting to take the level category evaluations must have completed all the assignments given during the time of course work.
Students who are interested to take the International Dance Council – UNESCO Evaluation must approach us through mail after sending your details. All evaluations will involve an examination and certification fee. This will be disclosed to the prospective students who have completed the course as per eligibility criteria at the appropriate time.
(Please understand that the timeline mentioned for the completion of the course is tentative and it is completely the institution’s decision to evaluate progress based on performance of individual students)
